Japan trip

These are sketches from an amazing trip to Japan this summer. I was one week in Tokyo and a few days in Kyoto and Nara. It was very inspiring, specially one artgallery called Design Festa in Harajuku. They inspired some of my sketches for the “cute” style.

Global Warming

Mushroom monsters

This actually started as a drawing of Ikea items.. but it bored me, so I added some mushroom monsters. By the way I live almost next to the soon to be largest Ikea in Norway! jaii nobody understood my excitement of going to Ikea in Vancouver to get a hot dog! Ikea helped me when I was homesick :p

Finally new sketch

I said a few days ago that I would upload on Tuesday, but I handed it in today. The last three weeks I have been working up to 13 hours every day, so today was the first “normal” day. I went to a cafe and sketched, then I worked out, made dinner for my bf´s family and went out and had a beer with a friend from Bug. Tomorrow I will get back to work, and feel sorry for myself since my legs are already hurting bad after the first workout in a few weeks!:)

Busy!

I said I was going to update every day, but I suddenly many freelance jobs, and I have been working up to 13 hour days the last three weeks! Tomorrow is the last day, so on Monday I will get back into blogging. Sometime in March I can upload some of the client work.

Eyes

A lot of eyes for reference. I have been working on a page for a while, but this sketchbook is falling apart so I had to finish it. I then ordered new sketchbooks from Amazon – red moleskine.

Duck dream

This morning I woke up and decided to sketch my dream. This is something I haven´t done in years. First I did a really quick sketch to remember the expression of this “duck”.. I know it´s not a duck, but that´s what I called it in my dream… I have absolutely no idea what it meant, but maybe I will understand my dreams if I put them on a piece of paper every day. This drawing is the cleaned up sketch that I did later in the evening.

Had a great day, went out the people at Bug, and went to a meeting earlier this morning with a great company, and worked at a cafe who made a really nice hot chocolate

Cafe sketch

A mix of some drawings I did throughout the day. One at a cafe with my boyfriend, and the pear in the middle is a notebook I bought from deal extreme. It´s awesome! I take a lot of notes when I work on motion graphics at Bug to keep a track of all the films I have to make. Sometimes it can be 3-4 films. I have to stay organized then! These apple and pear notebooks are the best things I have found online! very useful and cool looking
